The only one of its kind in North West Tasmania, Ecofest is an environmentally friendly one-day festival focused on working together towards a sustainable future for all of us. After two long years of isolation and lockdowns, Ecofest is a rare opportunity to remember what it is like to come together as a community and work towards a positive future.

The theme for 2022 is “Community Resilience – Together, we do make a difference”. We were inspired by the many stories of groups worldwide who are not relying on government initiatives to do something for our planet but instead leading our communities into a sustainable and safer future. This year we are partnering with Rethink waste to offer a repair cafe for festival goers
The Festival of April 9th 2022 is a community event and an initiative of the North West Environment Centre (NWEC) – a not-for-profit organization which aims to inspire a new perspective on our relationship with the environment and each other.
At Ecofest you are guaranteed to learn something new and connect with local providers, thinkers and businesses. Why not indulge in some quality local food and relax while listening to some of the best music NW Tassie has to offer. Come along and trest drive an electric vehicle. There will be activities for the kids and presentations. The festival opens at 9.30 to 4pm.

Here in the North West this event will bring our community together to make positive/ sustainable/ enduring changes to all of us who care about our planet and our future on it.
