Boomerang Bags Coming to Penguin!

Boomerang Bags Coming to Penguin!

The newly formed ‘Weaving the Threads’ craft circle at RSEED (every Fri 10am – 2pm everyone welcome 🤗) has got off to an exciting start with seven women gathering last week from far afield as Leith & Wilmot.
New connections are being formed between new and established residents of the north west with this in common: a love of crafting together & a commitment to the seven R’s:

Rethink Refuse Reuse Repair Re-Gift Recycle Reduce

People doing craft around a table.
In this spirit, we are thrilled to be forming a partnership with the generous Penguin Community Op Shop to create Boomerang Bags for our community.

What are Boomerang Bags??  It is the diversion of post-consumer material (waste) into reusable bags to replace plastic bags and most importantly, start conversations about the environment & climate change. Doing something positive and having fun at the same time.

There is always room for more – so please feel welcome to come any Friday for any amount of time . You don’t even need to be a crafty person. Just come for a cuppa & chat, we’d love to meet you.
